Long Haul Driver Air, Short Haul Driver Tristan, Dedicated Account Driver Tony, and Jockey Osmo were chosen as Drivers and Jockey of the Year for 2024.
Air’s driver manager Austin knows that he can send a load to Air with confidence, adding, “[the load] will be delivered on time and without any issues.” A 2022 graduate of Shelly Truck Driving School, Air signed with S&H Express immediately after graduation.
S&H Express announced Tony as Dedicated Account Driver of the Year. Tony has been a CDL driver for 12 years, two of them with S&H. The Safety Department describes Tony as one of its safest drivers. Tony attributes his outstanding safety record in part to prioritizing his rest so that he is alert. He also makes it a habit to have basic tools in his truck and to keep his truck neat and organized.
Tristan’s driver manager, Amanda, says that while she has many terrific drivers, Tristan came out on top of each of the Short Haul Driver of the Year markers: on-time deliveries, a commitment to safety, and a professional attitude. Tristan is a meticulous planner who is known for taking weather and potential traffic congestion in account when planning his route.
Respect, timeliness, safety, and a willingness to pitch in to help customers and other jockeys perfectly describe Osmo, says his jockey manager, Tessa. Our first-ever Jockey of the Year, Osmo accepted a Floater Jockey position with S&H in 2020 after several years as an Owner Operator.
