S&H Express is proud to announce that we have been nominated for the 2026 Best Fleets to Drive For® contest. Now in its 17th year, this respected program recognizes for-hire trucking companies across the United States and Canada that lead the industry in providing exceptional workplace experiences for company drivers and owner operators.
This nomination was submitted by Ray Robinson, one of our drivers, whose statement perfectly reflects the driver-first culture we strive to build every day at S&H Express.
Ray highlighted the supportive work environment our drivers experience, including safe, well-maintained, late-model trucks and a culture of friendliness and teamwork among drivers and staff. At S&H Express, there is no forced dispatch, and drivers have direct, in-person access to driver managers, operations, and support staff. We also offer clear opportunities for advancement, such as becoming a Driver Trainer or transitioning between roles including Jockey, Northeast Regional, Local, Shuttle, and Bulk driving.
Drivers also benefit from amenities designed with comfort and convenience in mind, including 24/7 access to Wi-Fi and computers, as well as a modern drivers’ lounge with showers and television. As Ray shared, our drivers are supported and appreciated throughout the organization.
Founded in 1992, S&H Express has now been nominated by one of our own drivers four years in a row, and we have been named a Fleet to Watch each of those years. With more than one million trucking companies domiciled in North America, only a small percentage are nominated, and even fewer advance through the rigorous evaluation process.
Selection for the 2026 Best Fleets to Drive For® is currently underway. The Top Large and Small Companies, along with Fleets to Watch, will be announced in January 2026.
